Founder's Story

Mr. Mirza Dad, a seasoned mountaineer and the founder of Tour De Karakoram, hails from the picturesque Shimshal Valley, known as the valley of mountaineers. His remarkable journey in the tourism industry began in 1985 when he started as a porter, laying the foundation for a career that would span over three decades.

As Mr. Mirza Dad gained valuable experience, he transitioned through various roles, evolving from a helper cook in 1992 to an assistant cook in 1994. By 1996, he had become a skilled professional cook, showcasing his culinary talents in the tourism sector. In 2002, he ventured into tour guiding, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the northern areas of Pakistan, particularly the formidable Karakoram range.
